What are the MDGs?

Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are eight international development goals that were developed out of the eight chapters of the United Nations Millennium Declaration and signed in September 2000. 192 United Nations member states and at least 23 international organizations have agreed to achieve MDGs by the year 2015.
