Ways to Get Involved with the Millennium Development Goals Awareness Project
Subscribe to the MDGAP newsletter. The project sends a monthly electronic newsletter with up-to- date news about MDG progress around the world, relevant research, internships, volunteer and professional development opportunities for you to follow-up on.
Attend MDGAP events. MDGAP hosts a forum in the fall and a speaker series in the spring. It also coordinates full-day community service projects and can help point you toward meaningful volunteer opportunities in MDG related areas.
Volunteer or become an intern. MDGAP wants to inspire you to take action by becoming engaged in goal related work so that you can develop job skills that can help after graduation. Connect with us at mdgap@studentlife.wisc.edu and we’ll help link you with opportunities that speak to your interests.
Check the MDGAP website. Check the MDGAP website frequently for the latest information. A blog providing students with a forum for discussion about the Millennium Goals will be introduced soon.
Apply to serve on the MDGAP Student Steering Committee. This committee helps International Student Services (ISS) guide the project and coordinate activities. ISS accepts applications from students to serve on the Steering Committee twice a year or as openings occur. For more information send an email to: mdgap@studentlife.wisc.edu.
