Capitol Reception
Madison Friends of International Students hosts a gathering at the State Capitol Building each winter (usually in February) for all international students and visitors. While you enjoy refreshments in one of the beautiful Capitol reception rooms, several State legislators will outline their jobs and explain how the State government works. There is time for questions and answers. The reception is followed by a tour of the Capitol itself, giving international visitors an introduction to Wisconsin's history, and a chance to see the legislative rooms, the beautiful murals and architecture.
