Global Friends
Be a cultural ambassador through friendship!
Local volunteers and international visitors partner together for conversation, casual gatherings and/or social outings. Through Global Friends, you share about yourself and your culture while learning about another. This is a very flexible program. You and your Global Friend decide when and where to meet and how often you wish to meet. You could arrange to go for a walk, talk over a cup of tea or coffee, share a home-cooked meal, or attend a local festival together—the opportunities are endless. What you decide to do is up to you and your Global Friend.
International Student and/or Family Member: If you are and international visitor to Madison interested in spending time with a US American friend, please complete this form and return it to the MFIS office in person or by emailing globalfriends@mfismadison.org.
Local Community Member: If you are a resident of the Madison-area with interest in befriending an international student and/or family member, please complete this form and return it to the MFIS office in person or by emailing globalfriends@mfismadison.org.
