CAMPUS
Campus buses (80, 81, 82) operate between the Memorial Union and the west end of campus. Rides are free (see SAFETY). Route maps and schedules are also available at these locations
- University Parking and Transportation Office, Room 124 WARF Bldg, 610 Walnut St. (263-6666) from 7:15 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Visitor Information Place (VIP), Park St. side of the Memorial Union, 267-7707.
- G5/140 Clinical Science Center (263-4003).
CITY
Madison Metro operates several bus routes throughout the city
of Madison. Bus stops are marked by blue signs; many stops also have a
shelter. City buses are free with a student ID and an ASM Student Bus
Pass. All UW Madison students are entitled to a free ASM Students Bus
Pass during the semester. Passes are being distributed
beginning the first day of Wisconsin Welcome Week each semester in Memorial
Union and Union South, 10am-6pm, M-F. During the semester, the distribution
site moves to ASM Student Print, in the basement of the Memorial Union.
Otherwise you must have exact change (currently $1.50) or a bus pass.
You can buy monthly and weekly passes. Transfer is free from one route
to another; ask the driver for a transfer slip as you board the bus. You
can obtain schedules and maps at the following places

INTERCITY AND INTERSTATE
To/From Milwaukee. Badger Bus operates a fast service to and from Milwaukee. Their bus terminal is located at 2 S. Bedford Street, near the Southeast part of Campus. To/From Chicago and O'Hare Airport. Van Galder Bus offers service to and from O'Hare Airport, Chicago. Its buses depart from the front of the Memorial Union on Langdon St. Call for information at 257-8983,1-800-747-0994, http://www.vangalderbus.com/. For reduced student return ticket on Van Galder to Chicago, go to the Student Travel Center in the Memorial Union.
To/from Twin Cities. Better Bus offers a non-stop service Madison - Twin Cities during academic breaks. Contact CIVC for current contact information.
To/From most U.S. Cities. Greyhound offers service to and from
most U.S. cities, including Milwaukee and Chicago. Their terminal is located
with Badger Bus at 2 S. Bedford Street. To get a listing of nationwide
