ISS

International Student Services (ISS): 217 Red Gym, 716 Langdon Street, 262-2044, iss@odos.wisc.edu, http://www.intstudents.wisc.edu/. ISS is an office on campus available to help international students and their families maintain their non-immigrant status. All new students are required (by university and federal law) to check in with ISS, and continuing students should inform ISS about any changes that could affect their status (change of major, change of level, less than full time study etc).

ISS offers the following programs:

  • Orientation programs for newly arrived students
  • Outreach programs
  • Liaison with Madison Friends of International Students (see MFIS)
  • Liaison with International Student Organizations
  • Assistance to University Departments concerning issues faced by international students
  • Assistance with emergency situations, advice and counsel

For more information, see the ISS web page or contact the office directly.
