TIME
TIME ZONES
Continental U.S.A. is divided into four time zones - Pacific, Mountain, Central, and Eastern. Travelling from west to east, set your watch ahead one hour for each time zone you cross. Madison is on Central Time: Central Standard (CST) from mid-fall to early spring and Central Daylight (CDT) from early spring to mid-fall.
During your flight to Madison you may have changed time zones so rapidly that your eating and sleeping patterns are disrupted (jet lag). It may take a week to ten days for your body to adjust to the new daylight-night rhythms.
DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
Time during which clocks are set one hour or more ahead of standard time to provide more daylight at the end of the working day during late spring, summer, and early fall. Announcements on radio, TV, and in newspapers will remind you when you have to change your clocks.

TIME TABLES
Note that on bus, train, or airline schedules, the PM times are in darker print than AM times. Arrival and departure times are given in local time (Standard or Daylight, whichever is used in the particular city). There are some exceptions; be sure to check if you have questions.
