Capitol Reception (Students)

Tour Wisconsin's beautiful Capitol building and learn about our state government! Madison Friends of International Students hosts a gathering at the State Capitol Building each winter (usually in February) for all international students and visitors. While you enjoy refreshments in one of the beautiful Capitol reception rooms, a State legislator will outline his/her job and explain how the State government works. There is time for questions and answers. The reception is followed by a tour of the Capitol itself, giving international visitors an introduction to Wisconsin's history, and a chance to see the legislative rooms, the beautiful murals and architecture.
